
Actionable community care is one of the most important building blocks to WRC's foundation. Taking cues from the resources provided through Fannie Lou Hamer's Freedom Farm Co-op, WRC aims to honor that tradition in our own way, through community-funded “Seed Packets.” WRC seed packets provide dignified care in the form of aid frontline organizers and activists to prevent burnout. Aid methods include Digital Pantry Packets ensure unconditional food access through grocery gift cards. Mental Health Packets ensure therapy support for organizers via initiatives like Open Path Collective and therapy vouchers, and direct cash donations allow for recipients to make their own decision on what they need to care for themselves. Bob zellner & Pamela Smith-zellner
One of the kindest couples with decades of wisdom and experience between them, Bob and Pamela have lived lives of service to the greater good.
​
A founding member of programs and orgs such as The Farm, Plenty International, and Wee Care Doula Services, Pamela's decades of expertise focuses on healthy, holistic, mother centered child birthing experiences sustainable community care, and economic stability. The last five years have found her in Lower Alabama with her love and partner in all things, Bob Zellner as the Smith-Zellner Consulting duo.

Bob Zellner is a name that is familiar to students of the modern Civil Rights Movements. Joining the Student Nonviolent Coordinating Committee in 1961 allowed Bob to work and learn from strategic minds like James Forman, John Lewis, Mrs. Fannie Lou Hamer, Mrs. Ella Baker and other recognizable names. After his time at SNCC, he went on to help found GROW (Grass Roots Organizing Work) that aims to build on the momentum of the movement and utilize the skills he gained in fractured communities towards common goals and successes.

The Smith-Zellner consulting pair has spent the close to the last decade focusing on youth engagement and unmasking lesser and biased history. They have made insurmountable portions of themselves to do their part in the creation of a fair and inclusive society.
