We’ve all heard a version of the phrase, “the children are the future,” but what does that look like in action?

About the event
This session of History Bites will look at the youth-centered portions of the Civil Rights Movement, highlighting the young folks who took their future into their own hands. Prathia Hall, the youth of SNCC, Barbara Johns and so many more embody the legacy of that very phrase.
From climate justice to housing access, we can look to today’s youth for inspiration and the audacity to speak up for what’s right. Join AJ for an exciting session of History Bites that aims to shed light on some of the incredible acts of fearlessness and fortitude shown by kids in the face of abject racism and state-sanctioned violence.
