About the event
Ruby Bridges is a name inextricably linked with the story of integration in this country. Five years after the Brown decision, the hostility towards Black students was still at an embarrassing high and only getting worse. On the morning of November 14, 1960, little Ruby got dressed and walked out of her door and into the history books. For this session, we’ll look at integration through the eyes of a little girl in Louisiana and understand the lasting impacts of adults losing their literal minds over equitable education access. We are doing ourselves an incredible disservice by preventing the educational system from working for *all* of us, and not just some of us.
